By establishing the Mott Haven Film Festival, we are telling the world, The Bronx does have a film voice and we are here to celebrate it in every way.
Our film festival is Bronx based. Founder & Executive Director was raised in the Mott Haven section of the South Bronx and wanted to give back to the community. That's when the idea of creating a film festival to represent Mott Haven came to mind. The Mott Haven Film Festival was born to show support in the South Bronx while elevating the film voice of the Borough.
Events and Programs for the Mott Haven Film Festival are still being developed so stayed tuned for updates. Keep the first weekend of October 2020 clear because The South Bronx in New York will have it's Bronx Festival! Can you say "The Bronx" throw your "X's" up!
Ninoska Carolina grew up in the Mott Haven section of The Bronx. She graduated from the City College of New York (CCNY-CUNY) with a degree in Communications specializing in Advertising and Public Relations. She also has a Master's degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communication from New York University (NYU). After attending many film festivals due to her sister's successful Sexo y Tortillas short film, Ninoska decided she could help filmmakers from The Bronx and all of NYC have a voice in the film industry.
